FAQs

  • How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy isn't only for times of crisis. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, navigating a major life transition, struggling with relationships, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, therapy can provide support, insight, and practical tools for growth.

  • What can I expect during the first session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your personal history, your goals, and any questions you have. There is no pressure to share everything at once either. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

  • Do you accept insurance?

I am in-network with select insurance plans. I work with a billing company to verify your benefits after our initial 15-minute consultation but before our first appointment occurs. That way you have a quote on expected costs and mitigating any unexpected costs.

  • What makes your approach different?

I believe therapy should be collaborative, practical, and personalized. Rather than simply talking through challenges, we'll actively work together using visual tools, skill-building exercises, and strategies you can apply in your daily life. My goal is to help you leave each session with greater insight, practical takeaways, and the confidence to move from surviving toward thriving.

  • Do you assign homework?

Sometimes! But I like to call them "challenges." I suggest optional reflection exercises, coping skills practice, journaling prompts, or collaborative challenges between sessions. These are designed to help reinforce what we discuss in therapy and support growth outside of our time together, but also feel manageable based on your capacity in a given week.

  • How do I schedule an appointment?

You can reach out through email, text, phone, or the online booking link to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. During that initial call, we'll discuss your needs, answer any questions, and determine whether we're a good fit for working together.

Before our first session, my billing team will consult with your insurance company and provide a good faith estimate regarding your expected cost of services.
